Pray for Oklahoma.

I know I just posted Sunday about Oklahoma and about tornadoes, but as I'm sure you all know another huge one ripped through the town of Moore, Oklahoma. Moore is a suburb of Oklahoma City and it's heavily populated. Moore has been hit THREE different times in the past 14 years. It was leveled on May 3rd, 1999 in an EF5 tornado that tore through several states. It was hit again in 2003 by an EF4 traveling close to where the one in 1999 was. Then on May 20th, 2013, Moore was once again hit by a tornado traveling much like one on May 3rd.

(EDIT: there were far less than 91 fatalities, there were 24 and only 9 were children) 9 of them being children that were trapped inside an elementary school. The death toll is expected to continue to rise as search and rescue teams scour the rubble. My cousin lost his home, but he and his family are alive. I just can't imagine what the people who have lost their loved ones are experiencing. Parents shouldn't have to bury their children, ever. Children should grow up, they should go to prom, learn to drive, graduate high school, go to college, get married and have a family of their own; their lives shouldn't be cut short.

Moore has been leveled and rebuilt just to be leveled and rebuilt again. Oklahomans are resilient and we take care of each other. We will get through this and we will bounce back. The shots of Moore and all the other places that were hit are gut wrenching. It looks like a war zone.

Oklahoma needs all the prayers they can get. There's going to be many long hours for the emergency workers and for the people that will return at daylight to to sift through the rubble of what used to be their homes in search of anything they can salvage.
